We are a family owned and operated business. Serving the Bayside area since 1975. We are a nuts and bolts type of bakery that carry a lot of the old fashioned goodies from years past. We are very reasonable in our pricing and take our customer service seriously. When you come to us you are not treated like a customer, you are treated like family.
We are a CASH ONLY establishment. We have an ATM on-site if you need.

A local gem! The staff is so friendly and accommodating! My favorite pignoli + amaretti are top notch! Great sweets and smiles so make sure to stop in!

Just had brunch across the street from this place but had to check it out as a customer who said he had come out from Montauk to load up on these amazing pastries in the back of his car. He ushered us in pointing out his favorites which were a ton. My eyes immediately went to the cannolis that come in a small then larger size. Should have bought more than one. It was absolutely perfect. My partner really wanted to try the cheesecake. It was the lightest and fluffiest that we had ever had. Please note that you can only pay in cash. If you do not have cash there is an ATM right in the bakery. The ladies helping behind the counter were very helpful and friendly. Gotta come back to try the rainbow cookie cheesecake, honey buns, and some of the various cookies. The man who ushered us in pointed out that we were checking it out early enough to be able to get a slice of pizza where only one pie is baked per day. Definitely check this spot out if you are in the neighborhood.

I found this place passing through. Stopped in to grab some Italian pastries. Not only were the pastries excellent, but the ladies behind the counter were so nice, friendly and helpful! This felt like an old school place from back in the day. All i needed was a chair and an espresso and I could have started all day! I will definitely make the trip down again. You don’t find places like this anymore! Can’t recommend enough!

Update- March 2026 Phenomenal Bakery - they continue to provide Superb Delicious Pastries and Breads. The Owner- like always- is so gracious -remembering his older customers who have been patrons for many years. St. Patrick’s Day Irish Soda Bread and Rye- scrumptiously tasty- my mom who is a grand senior certainly enjoyed with her friends. Gave them a time to reflect on their prior experiences at Joe’s Bakery. ————————————————————— Premier Bakery! Truly the best in the area! Super kind and friendly owner- so efficient and generous. Appreciates his long standing customers from the past. During the holiday time, was so gracious with my elderly family member- offering outstanding delectable- delicious- super moist - tasty- fresh ingredient pastries. First class service!!! Staff is also very patient and kind. Pastries were enjoyed by all- thanks immensely. Can not praise enough! Phenomenal!

CASH ONLY. The Italian cookies, bread, and cakes are good. Not amazing, but good. Service can feel rushed sometimes. This place is okay. Old school mom and pop Italian cookie shop. Go support it.
